Ready or not, it's time to hit the road, Jack. We do hope to come back through here by June. It's really hard leaving family behind, but we have come to our last night at Cherry Creek State Park and Aurora, CO.
The strange weather has us behind our original schedule and we have been overly busy (for being retired) trying to get everything ready and in working order. Poor Craig has worked harder these past few weeks than he ever intended. So, we are ready to get down the road a ways and slow down the pace. We'll see how that is going to work for us.
Tomorrow we'll be a huge day of "firsts". Driving an RV pulling a Toad and going over the Rockies. We hope to be at my Aunt and Uncle's in Price, Utah by Sunday. Everyone tells us to just go slow and take our time going over the mountains. That will be a first, for sure!! Craig and I are both so goal oriented that it's going to be a challenge to drive slowly and stop often.
We are confident that the Lord will watch over us and lead us and guide us. That is a huge relief knowing that!!
I'll do my best to keep up here, so you will know where we are and can share in what we see and learn. Full-time RVing is NOT for the faint at heart. It's been a wild and crazy time these past 6 weeks. 2 months ago, we really hadn't even thought of selling our home. Now, we are ready to go in a brand new direction.
I read somewhere that it's a custom to carry a live plant with you whenever you move as a reminder to grow wherever you are planted.
Neither the plant or flowers are real, but they make me fell at home. |
We just hope and pray that we can be a blessing to those along the way and that we can receive blessings from them, too.
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
