Tonight's sporting event was more than 10 degrees warmer than yesterday's track meet and there was no rain! Carter had a huge Cross Country HS Meet. Tana, Craig and I drove to the other side of the city to see him run.
There were hundreds of kids running in this event today. Carter's race didn't even start until 6 pm. It was about 55 degrees. In the above picture he is the blonde standing behind the boy in the dark blue jersey in the middle of the screen.
This was at about the one mile point
Coming to the home stretch.. all uphill.
Carter beat his own best time with 19:09 minutes.
Tana promised when he beat 20 minutes, she would take him out for dinner.
Craig and I got in on the celebration.
Congrats, Carter!!
Saturday is suppose to be 77 and 81 on Sunday. We have two football games and two baseball games to attend. Put away the winter coats, hats and gloves and break out the sunscreen! That's Colorado for you.
Blessings,
Kathy
