Football, Football and Fire

We had to move to another spot in the Cherry Creek State Park today.  It's a primitive spot with no water, electric or sewer, but it will work fine for us. We can be self-contained for a few days at a time.
We then headed out to Collin's (11) football game.  The lost by one point.  It was a beautiful day and perfect for sports!

We then headed down to Castle Rock to watch Cooper (42) play in his football game.  His team had the gold jerseys.  He is somewhere in the midst of these players.  They won their game today.

We came back to our campsite to get ready for Tana, Barry and the four kids to come over for burger and s'mores on the campfire.

Craig started the charcoal and had the wood ready for the campfire.  It was so hard to believe that it was so warm today after the last two days of rain and even some snow flurries.

Our Indiana friends, the Taylors, just had a cow butchered and they were so generous to provide us with several pounds as we headed out of town.  They were so good over charcoal.  Seems like we should cook more on coals and less on propane because of the way it makes them taste.

The nice picnic tables here in the park are large enough for all eight of us to sit together at one.

After those wonderful burgers, we took a walk down to the lake just in time to enjoy this beautiful sunset.
It the Rocky Mountains in the background with Canadian Pelicans in Cherry Creek Reservoir.

Once back from our walk, it was time to throw the wood on the fire and have s'mores.  We substituted chocolate chip cookies for the graham crackers. Hmmmmm!

"Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya"

Blessings,
Kathy
