We had a wonderful lunch in Denver on Monday with Craig's older brother, Jim and his wife, Lynne. Craig has two brothers. We ate at a "funky" restaurant and really enjoyed it.
Lynne and Jim
We were so busy eating and talking that I forgot to take a picture (again). They told me that Tana had taken a picture of them at a recent family wedding, so Tana just sent it over to me.
We left lunch and went to the VA Hospital and took the next step in getting Craig his VA ID card so he could use their medical services if he would ever need to. We have to go back to finish the process on Thursday morning. Once he has his card, they want him to be checked for Agent Orange. He hasn't ever had any issues, but they thought it would be a good idea.
Tuesday, Craig got that broken tooth permanently fixed and he is glad to have that over with.
We have been pulling things out from our "basement" trying to lighten the load on the RV and to just trim down a bit on what we carry around. Yesterday we went through all of our clothing and took things we haven't been wearing over to our storage. We have rearranged nearly everything in the RV. Hope we can find things when we need them.
We went to a track meet today that Collin (6th grade) and Kyra (eighth grade) were participating in. It was last week when it was 49 degrees with light rain. Today, about 85 with bright sun. The video of Collin getting first place on his first time ever running hurdles is on Facebook.
He then ran the Mile with a bunch of kids running at the same time and did well, too.
Kyra did the High Jump and got her personal best at the height of 4'4". Then, her relay team got second place.
We pulled back into the campground at Cherry Creek State Park and were greeted by these mule deer.
Wednesday we'll get to spend some time with Craig's other brother, Chuck and his wife, Pudge. Then, we'll try to fix a garage door opener and then it's dinner at good friends.
Plans are starting to come together to spend some time in Texas when we leave here next week.
Hope the weather stays good for everyone. I know there's a storm heading for AZ and NV. Stay high and dry.
Blessings,
Kathy
