We had such a wonderful visit this morning with old friends that "just happened" to be staying in a campground about 2 miles down the road from us. I called them on a whim and found out where they were. How wonderful. Larry has been fighting cancer and it nearly got the best of him 7 years ago, but he is doing great and it was wonderful to see him.
We didn't hit the road until nearly noon. It is our 43rd Anniversary today. Craig said he would make me lunch so we could drive and get moving down the road. We like to fish so much that that's what we did on our honeymoon. It doesn't sound too romantic, but we both had a blast!!

We wove through the southwestern part of MN and loved seeing the beautiful green. It's been a cool and rainy spring here, but it was gorgeously perfect today.

Land of 10,000 Lakes
We bought a few groceries and nearly overstuffed the frig and freezer and had a nice Anniversary dinner out before finding a place to sleep. A young cashier recommended this place and it really is nice!

God is good! Seated behind us at Applebee's was an older woman who was trying to guilt a young man (maybe her grandson) by saying that if you don't give a 10th of your money to the church, you will have a curse on your life. I was praying. As we left, the older woman was on the phone and the young man was directly behind me. I leaned in a bit and told him the good news is about the fact that Jesus became a curse and died in our place so we could be set free of any curse. Our only "work" is to believe that He already paid that price. The young man's eyes lit up and you could see the relief on his face. Jesus came to set us free from the curse of the Law. Amen.
