We just barely fit into this site, but we got backed in and set up and we are beginning to figure out how to work all of the new features we have in this larger Motorhome.
With the slides out, we fill up the spot. We park the Honda in front. We haven't put out the awning because we have had winds off and on and we are away much of the day while we are with Mom.
We brought Mom over to get a look at the new room that we have. It reminded her very much of her brother, Don and wife, Jan's motorhome that they used to travel in. We just lost my Aunt Jan and our thoughts have gone to the family often since we weren't able to make the funeral in Price, Utah.
We had some time to work on the ongoing project of trying to get the generator up and running. Craig replaced the fuel pump and it would start, but not keep running. So, after researching on the Internet, we decided to try a new carburetor. We drove out to a Cummins Onan part store in North Las Vegas and picked up a new one.
With much prayer and watching of YouTube videos on replacing the Carburetor, we primed it and it fired right up. All is now working and we will be better prepared if we end up in a place that doesn't have electricity as we travel.
My broken toe has slowly been getting better and I was able to get on my walking shoes and we walked around this huge sports complex that is adjacent to the RV Park. It was full of women soccer players.
We saw something a bit unusual. We couldn't figure out the purpose of doing this to yourself????? It was funny.
Craig turned 68 on April 8th. We did our best to make it a special day, but he was feeling under the weather with a cold that he picked up before we left AZ. It really hit him hard. We are thankful to friends who had some medicine that seems to be helping him to shag it. We were able to make the Thursday Dennis Bono Show with Mom and her friends and we had a little Cup Cake party afterwards. It had lots of frosting.
Everyone was moving in this photo, but there's Ray, Midge, Mom, Frank, Minerva and Craig.
We did set up our chairs and had a nice rest and nap in the shade yesterday afternoon. Craig was still feeling poorly. Poor guy hates when I take pictures of him napping, but it was so good to see him get some rest from his coughing and blowing.
We had a fun Friday night as Midge and Ray came over to Mom's and we played cards and ordered in pizza.
We helped Mom find a Crochet Pattern and Yarn and then headed to the South Point for awhile. It's an "off the strip Casino" that isn't far from her home. I stood in line to get into Steak and Shake and they took the time to see if they could make a withdrawal from the machine.
Steak and Shake, doesn't actually have steaks. They have Steak Burgers and they are very good. They do have great shakes, too. This isn't a very flattering selfie of us all, but we were sure enjoying our meal!
I hope you're watching the A.D. Bible Series. That's what we are doing as I put this blog together.
We are missing our Tier Drop Family, but certainly enjoying our time with Mom and friends here.
Blessings,
Kathy
