Lake Livingston State Park

It was a beautiful day here today and we took a drive to the nearby Lake Livingston State Park.  We tried to stay in the campground, but it's very busy this time of the year.
Here are a few photos that I took  We can fish there without a license and the crappie are biting, so we may go back and see if we can catch dinner.

The lake is so huge looking and this guy was catching a few catfish using hot dogs.

It's a really nice State Park and they are full for the weekend and for next weekend.  The weather was perfect today.

There's a very nice pool, but it is closed for the winter.  But, there is also a very large area marked off for swimming.  No one was, but the water was fairly warm still.

The roads through the park are lined with pine trees.  It reminded us of the UP of Michigan.

There is a little ice cream shop in our park, so we ended our outing with a treat.  It was really good, too!

We relaxed in our chairs and read after our ice cream.

Blessings,
Kathy
