No Bridge Over the River Verde

We are still in the Thousand Trails RV Park called, Verde Valley in Cottonwood, AZ.  We will be here until April 6th.

The Whale seems happy and the weather has been great!  We had to pick up a new ceramic heater because our old one was making the circuit breaker pop.  We looked all around for a breaker that would work in it's place and finally found a little electric shop in Cottonwood that ordered the Double Pole 3015 Mini and we picked it up today.  With the new heater, the old circuit breaker has been working just fine, but we think we'll change out to the new one in the morning and keep the old one as a spare now that we know how hard it is to find the main breaker that we needed.
I have found that I can do without many things, but I do seem to like ELECTRICITY.

Saturday we took a walk down in the Verde River bed just behind us.  At times I wish I had a fancy camera, but my phone seems to be keeping up OK and we certainly don't need another electronic thing in the RV!

The river bed is probably 50 - 70 yards wide, but the river is contained this time of the year in a part about 20 yards wide and it looks fairly deep and there's a pretty good current.
The flowers are blooming and the leaves and beginning to spring out on the trees and bushes.

Not sure if you can see the Air Balloon at the end of the shot here.

After the little gathering of folks in the RVR Center for Hymn Singing and discussion on Sunday, we went to do something we really dislike.  We were offered 4 adult tickets on a jeep ride if we would listen to 90 minutes of a Time Share Offer.  We met a really nice woman from Czechoslovakia and a young man the age of our kids and we had some great talks about life, but they weren't able to sell us anything.  Where would we go to vacation, anyway?  We now have $210.00 worth of tickets for when Tana and family come this weekend to Sedona.  It was a sacrifice, but it all worked out well.

Today, I woke up and wasn't feeling quite up to par and didn't feel like doing anything too strenuous.  I had trouble going to sleep last night.  That doesn't happen very often.  I think something I ate was the issue, but Craig and I ate the same things and he wasn't having an issue.  So, I took a short nap this morning and felt much better by lunch.  It was a nice and warm day so we decided to enjoy the heated pool.

Below is a nice area for horse shoes, eating and tennis/pickle ball courts in the back.

This RV Park hasn't been near as friendly as some of the others we have been in.  Maybe because most people come in here and go out to see the sites of Sedona.  But, we have been making a point to meet anyone new who pulls in.  We had a very nice chat with Roy and Karen from Ontario this afternoon.  Then, we ate the crock pot pepper steak that had been stewing all day.  We wish that our cell phones and internet worked better inside the RV, but at least we can come here to the Rec Center and catch up.  There's is a group getting ready to play Wii Bowling in the room next to us.  Time to go!  Blessings, Kathy
