Yesterday we had to leave Canyon Lake. We were so thankful to my cousin, Jan, for telling us about this place. So peaceful and beautiful and then we met such wonderful RVers while there. The Alaskan couple headed out on Sunday and that left just two couples of the four left. We so enjoyed getting to know our fellow Indianans. The Canadian couple moved on to the Tier Drop Park where we had been last month. RVers are a great resource for finding the next stop down the road. Glad we were able to send them to such a great and friendly place.
We told life stories and laughed until our sides hurt. Carolyn and Ron have traveled every where and have great stories and a beautiful family, too. We are sitting on the saddle bar stools at Tortilla Flat.
We went out for the "last hoorah" breakfast. Craig is wearing a Taylor Excavating hat that Ron gave to him.
This is a video a
I took a few days ago of a bird that was trying to get me to feed him.
The Coots, which are a form of duck, even came by to send us off.
We are all hooked up and ready to head back down the Canyon. The rain has passed through and the sun was bright and the weather warm.
Two one lane bridges on the way back to Apache Junction.
We arrived just 16 miles later to Carefree Manor in Apache Junction, AZ. We shopped, did laundry and caught up with a much better internet connection.
This morning we went to my cousin's to finish the cupboard hanging and that all went well. Please pray for Jan, though, as she is not feeling well at all and isn't sure what she has going on. Maybe a sinus infection, but just no fun, at all!!!
Thursday we will be on the move again up 130 miles to Cottonwood, AZ just 20 miles from Sedona. The plan is to stay there for a month. Tana and her family will be coming down for their spring break week and we are looking forward to seeing them.
Happy Birthday to Blue!!!
Blessings to you all,
Kathy
