Boys Will Be Boys

The Whale landed at the RV Park on Little Boy Lake on Thursday and first thing Friday morning, Todd and Jeff drove all night and arrived.  They only ran into one issue.... a deer.  Thankfully, it was in the middle of the road dead and Jeff didn't have time to swerve so just straddled it.  They pulled over and thankfully there wasn't any damage to the car................ the deer we aren't sure, but some of it still resides under the chassis.  This is the three guys looking at the detour that Todd and Jeff had to take the last stretch as they came in.

They were tired, but Friday was showing to be the best weather day, so we all climbed into the rented boat and off we went.
It was a gorgeous day.

We caught fish and ate fish that first day.  We even caught a couple of Walleyes (which are my favorite eating fish).

We came in for lunch and ate the fish and rested a bit and then headed back out for the afternoon.

The small mouth bass are biting and we caught a few of those.

With a couple of extra people and their gear, the RV is pretty full and a bit out of order.  But, we are having a good time.

Todd brought his tent and has been sleeping there.  Jeff makes a bed out of a mat and the two chairs cushions and a sleeping bag on the living area floor.

The rain began yesterday and I opted to stay in (and dry) and the guys went out.  Jeff caught a 3.7 lb small mouth bass.

It let up yesterday afternoon enough for me to brave going out.  We didn't get too wet from the rain, but I did from the windy splash as we crossed the lake.  Fishing was a little slow, but we still had fun.

There are several eagles around the lake and Todd got this photo of one in flight.

Todd fished off the dock early this morning and brought in a nice Northern Pike.

The three father's are out fishing again in the rain this morning.  It's not stormy or windy just a steady rain.

Todd all geared up.

I chose to stay behind (and dry) again this morning.  I have baked a Happy Father's Day and Happy Birthday Todd (tomorrow) cake and spent time drying out towels and jeans so they will have dry things when the wet guys come back in.
We plan to go and see Bob and Pam this afternoon and have a bite to eat out somewhere.

..... and it's still raining.  They are saying tomorrow should be better.  The boys leave for Indiana tomorrow night.

Happy Father's Day and
Keep your feet dry!
Kathy
