There was so much rain in the Denver area that the streams, lakes and rivers are at capacity. We left Chatfield State Park and our Colorado family (sad face) and headed back south down I 25.
Chatfield Reservoir was about to overflow.
These geese were probably washed out of their nest.
Their goslings were so yellow.
We pulled out of the park and saw this unique cloud.
Pike's Peak is snow capped and radiant.
The San Isabel Mountain Range is snow covered, too.
This is La Veta, Colorado
We are staying in the Circle the Wagons RV Park.
Cuchara Mountains
There's a creek that runs through the park. We were told that it never overflows it's bank, but is just a mountain run off.
Today we plan to do some exploring and head over the pass to Alamosa, CO.
Blessings,
Kathy
