Today we had to move out of the Cherry Creek State Park because we reached our 14 day limit. We drove 30 miles west to another beautiful Colorado Park, Chatfield Reservoir. It was built as flood control for the Platte River that runs through Denver and caused a massive flood in 1964.
We had a a few hours of no rain and the sun actually peaked through a couple of times. The roads were dry and we were able to get a spot to park in for two nights. We'll have to see about Friday and Sat, but we can get back into this one on Sunday through Friday.

Clouds and fog were hanging close to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
Chatfield State Park
We parked in a waiting area while we waited for the noon assignments.
The spots are large and have been well maintained.
The Platte River
We hope to get in a little fishing while we are here.
The sky looked beautiful and frightening at times all day today.
Blessings,
Kathy
