I don't think I'm going to grow tired of these African Daisies. This is how they look early in the morning.
We didn't buy the Farm today, but it's actually more like we enjoyed a day at the "From the Farm" market and restaurant in Yuma, AZ at mile marker 38
on Highway 95.
Our friend, Sheila has been helping us get to know the area better and took us today to see the sights and have lunch at From the Farm. It's only about 20 minutes away and we had a great lunch and also bought fresh produce.
I had a chicken taco with broccoli cheese soup and tea. It was pretty good, but the soup could have been a bit warmer.
Sheila doesn't like her picture taken, but she always looks so nice and has been such a blessing to us. She is the sister of Jim who owns the RV Park.
It was warm enough to eat outside and Craig enjoyed his Chili and a Hot Dog with lemonade.
Some of the food is made at this outdoor grilling station.
There's quite a blend of antiques and "uniques" (I made that up)! We enjoyed looking at some of the clever ways to use old household items and then laughed at some funny signs.
They were busy preparing for an outdoor wedding for tomorrow. There's an outside area that has a covered tent area with seating and the fireplace and even a fish pond.
We picked up some very nice looking fresh produce.
This is Bill and he was very entertaining with his descriptions of the food and just enjoying conversation.
We spent some time seeing sights around "old Yuma" and going to a couple of grocery stores. Thanks for a fun outing, Sheila!
The sun was out when we got back. We took a long walk and a few photos of those same Daisies that were now completely open. We saw hummingbirds enjoying their beauty, too.
We can hear the gentle rain falling on our rooftop again tonight. I think all the bad weather is supposed to move out in time for the Super Bowl Game on Sunday in Phoenix.
Blessings,
Kathy
