Hoosiers

It's been a fun couple of weeks having our friends here from North Salem, Indiana. Their dog, Polly, keeps a close watch on everything.  It looks like she is going to drive the motorhome away. Polly loves for you to throw the tennis ball for her and so far, we wear out before she does.

Ron and Carolyn have a very large and nice Class A.  This is Ron and Craig solving the problems of the world.  Have you noticed how much better things are?

Things around Tier Drop RV Park are blooming.

Several people have fruit trees growing in the Park.  Al and Sandy picked one of these off their tree.  It was huge and delicious.

The Park had a Chili Cook Off and here is the Park owner giving out the prizes.  It was a night of very good food.

The little town of Wellton hosts a Tractor Pull and engine show.  We spent a few hours there enjoying the old engines, cars and the good food.

Carolyn, Craig and Ron.

All types of engines were on display and some were in beautiful condition.  There was also a large Swap Meet of old parts of all kinds.  There was a very large crowd with all sorts of activities going on for young and old.

Some of the cars on display.

On Monday the six of us drove to a parking lot on the US side and then walked across the border to Los Algodones, Mexico.  So many Americans go there for dental work, glasses and prescription medications.

Roy bought a new pair of glasses that were ready in two hours.  While we were waiting for them, Roy, Ron, Carolyn and Julie got hair cuts and Craig and I just enjoyed people watching.  It was a warm and sunny day.

We also had a nice Mexican lunch (that did take a long time) while we listened to some live music.

Every shop and store caters to the Americans that stream across the border daily.  We enjoyed the day.  We had to stand in a very long line to walk through the border crossing.

We have been eating suppers together in the Park on a regular basis.  The three women have been taking turns and pooling food items.  We came up with enough tables and chairs to seat all of us and have had some great food and fun together.  They will be pulling out of the Park tomorrow morning to head to Quartsite for the HUGE RV Rally.  We are hoping to meet them down the road somewhere as they will be staying in the southwest until the winter turns to spring in Indiana.

What a glorious sunset we enjoyed tonight.

Blessings,
Kathy
