Back Home Again, in Indiana
We left Tomah, WI yesterday morning. We had a driving day with some wind, but no rain. All went well and we saw some beautiful things along the way. We passed this, but can't remember exactly where we were at the time.
Then, we started into the Chicago area. The traffic was just as bad as I remembered! We were so busy navigating and staying in our lane that we didn't take many pictures. We only got "beeped" at one time, so I guess it was a success, but Craig and I came as close as we have in a long time of being frustrated with each other. Driving a 47' rig through this..... not so fun.
It was a big change after fishing in the back woods of Minnesota!!
Chicago Here's the something that has changed.... |
The Sears Tower is now called the Willis Tower. How did that ever happen? Who is Willis, anyway?
We didn't even get a picture of the Indiana State Line sign.
We made it to Todd (our oldest son) and Marie's home near the Dunes. We are parked in front of their house for a couple of days. I was so tired last night, that I slept like a log.. I didn't even hear the train that went by not too far away.
We met Marie's parent last night and played some cards. We learned a new game, Pitch. It was great to meet them and they are very nice people. The guys were the winners over the gals playing Pitch.
We so hope to see as many of our old friends and family members as we can during the next month.

Time for breakfast and maybe a walk on the Lake Michigan Beach.
