Moving to Casa Grande and Mesa

We said our good-byes and pulled out of Tier Drop RV Park in Wellton, Arizona on March 11th.  We had been there for 5 months and so enjoyed our time there.

Our first stop was just a couple of hours down route 8 to visit Pat and Jim who live in Arizona City.  They trained us for our first year as volunteers at Cherry Creek State Park in Colorado two years ago.

CASA GRANDE

We spent two nights at the High Chaparrel RV Park

We had a nice Sunday dinner out and then stopped at the Drop Zone to watch Sky Divers.  It was really a production with planes taking off and dropping groups of 10 or so out at 10,000 feet. We were amazed at the speed that they come in at.

MESA, Arizona

On Monday, March 13, we made another short drive up to Mesa, Arizona. We are staying in Good Life RV Resort.

It's a huge park with all sorts of things to do.

This is the layout of the park.

We are staying here for the week in order to meet our daughter, Tana and her husband, Barry and two of their four children, Collin and Cooper.  Collin has a baseball tournament that we will be going to.  They fly in Wed. morning and the ball games start on Friday.
We had some time to get together with my younger brother, Dave.  We are hoping to see Dave and his son Derek tomorrow night with Tana's family.

We took a drive over to the far west side of the Metro area to find the Ball Park where the kids will be playing. It's Papago Park.

It's going to be a toasty tournament.  We picked up a shade tent today to help keep us all from frying like bacon.

We made it down to the pool area today to swim some laps.

Family gets in early tomorrow.  They are renting a car and staying at a Holiday Inn.  It will be good to see them, but we will sure miss the older two kids who are staying behind to work.

Blessings,
Kathy
