Deming, NM to Van Horn, TX to Cisco, TX

Deming, NM to Van Horn, TX

March 21st we pulled out of Deming, NM and headed down I 10 to Van Horn, TX.

Crossed into Texas on March 21st
The drive through El Paso, was exciting because of heavy traffic and road construction.  I don't have much affection for that city.

Desert Willow RV Park in Van Horn, TX

Van Horn, TX to Cisco, TX

We pulled out of the Park and headed on down the road on March 22nd.  We had planned to stop in Baird, TX, but once we took at look at the RV Park, we decided to keep on rolling down the road.
We had stopped for a nice brunch at an IHop, so we were charged to keep going.
We started on in some rolling hills.

We took the I 20 fork off I 10
Through some flat lands of west Texas.

This plane acted like it was going to land in front of us on the highway.
The flat lands turned back into rolling hills.

Wild Country RV Park isn't well advertised, but it's a nice park up on a hill and we are settled in for the night.

It's always good to see trees after a winter of desert living.

Tomorrow we just have a two hour ride into Midlothian to see old friends of ours that we met in Germany in 1977 and have stayed in touch with over the many years.
Did I mention that we are in Cisco, TX?  It brings back a memory of a contest I won in 5th grade to be Cisco Kids partner for a day.

Oh, Poncho...... Oh, Cisco

Blessings,
Kathy
