Whale Meets Whale

This past weekend, we began the process to move from our 1998 Jayco 32' Class C into a 2002 Holiday Rambler Class A.  Craig had put up a 10' extension on the TV antennae to pull in channels from Yuma, but it all had to come down.  The parking spot we were in would no longer work for us because the new Motorhome has two slides. So we moved to another place in the park.

We found the RV on craigslist and it was located just 12 miles down the road from us.  The owners are a wonderful couple who have babied this baby for the past 13 years.  They reluctantly are giving up the RV life style and we felt so blessed that the Lord had saved this for us!
Thank you, Jim and Yvonne again for passing your Admiral "Birdie" on to us.  We will care for it!
This is the new parking spot.

They even delivered the RV to us.  You know the struggle we had with trying to decide on a new name or to keep the old "Whale" name.  We decided to stay with The Whale 2.0 since we feel we will continue to travels to points unknown and so I can continue with this blog named, Tales of the Whale.
The park allowed us to pull Whale 1.0 right up next to Whale 2.0 to make the move.  This will now be our 30th home in 44.5 years of marriage.  It actually seems more like a home since there is more living area.  It's amazing how much stuff we had stuffed into the Whale.  Maybe we should call it, The Ark?

We have been so busy going up the Whale and down the Whale trying to stay organized as we go and that has worked somewhat.
We took a needed break this morning and attended Tier Drop Park's weekly Bible Study class.  We have been working through Genesis and we have had great discussions with a really wonderful group of people.  This is a very special part of this park.  We also have church services right in the park and we have had a large attendance.  We are thankful for this time of refreshing and have been here nearly five months.

We had our first official "company" for a quick lunch today.  This is our dining table and two good friends, Al and Sandy.

Craig has found a place for some much needed rest.

I took this from the passenger captain's chair.  We still have a few things out of place until we finish finding places for them.  We have most everything moved over.  I hope to take some better daytime photos once we are better settled in. We have the Whale 1.0 up for sale and someone that will buy it if we don't get a better offer.  It will be hard to part with it, but we know this is the Lord's new provision for us and we receive it with joy!

So, from our new home to yours, we pray that you are being blessed beyond measure and we look forward to seeing you all during our travels.

Blessings,
Kathy
