Home #30 - Whale 2.0

We have been busy this week moving out of The Whale 1.0 into the Whale 2.0.  The Park allowed us to park them next to each other.  It was a lot of up and down steps, but we are all moved out.  In fact, Whale 1.0 is sold and the deal will be finished tomorrow.

Craig got into a major project upgrading the old Box TVs to Flat screens.  He started with the Bedroom TV and did a great job
re-configuring everything.

The one over the dash took a bit more strain and pain.

He came up with a great idea to put the DVD/HDD under the TV.

We had an electrical issue when we tried to use the blue box plug because it also was configured to work on 12V and the new TV can't do that.  We had to call our son, Jeff to get some advice on how to proceed and we were so glad to find a standard 120V outlet in the cabinet just to the right.

We had to borrow a saw to cut out a space for the DVD and then we painted the new board black before hanging the 32" set.

It's up and working great!

We have been working pretty non-stop since we got the Whale 2.0 a week ago.  So, all work and no play makes for some tired people.  So, a trip to town for some parts and a stop at Arby's gave us a little break.

 Here's a few more photos.

Double freezer and frig.  Hooray!!

Living area is so much larger.  We actually feel like we are in a small home.

We feel so blessed to have a larger home and the chance to actually have friends and family in to spend time with us and share a meal.
We still have a few things to fix.  The generator hasn't been working and today we found that it's the fuel pump.  It will have to be ordered.  The spot we are parked in is pretty sunny and they are saying we could hit 100 degrees by Sat.  So, we may make one more move to a shady place and it will give us some practice in storing thing away, trying out the light package on our tow vehicle and backing up.  We now have a rear camera, so it will all be very different.

Hope you enjoyed the tour!
Blessings,
Kathy
