Trip from IL to IN

We left Betty's yesterday morning for our trek back to Jeff's in Indiana.  It was a nice drive and we weren't in a hurry.
We drove up IL 57 and there was some construction.  We stopped at a rest area for lunch and even took a short nap!
We crossed over the Kankakee River and it's still pretty full for August.

Driving Mr. Whale

Jeff put in a 30 amp circuit so we can run our air.
We didn't blow any circuits, but they did have to run to
a Hardware Store to pick up a long heavy duty extension
cord so it won't overheat.  I guess this is all still
on the learning curve with figuring out how to safely
run power to the Whale.  Ah, I just had this mental picture
of an actual Whale with an extension cord hanging
from it's rear.

We tried parking in the driveway, but it was on too great of a slope for our levelers to handle. While we were there, we had to open the awning because it was rolled up wet and was starting to show some mold.  So, we used a little bleach in our cleaner and since we had out all of the gear, I gave the Whale a bath..... and that's why we had a pretty good rain last night and it's supposed to rain more today.
It's Jeff and Rachel's children first day of school today.  After they are off to school, we will go with Jeff to help with a tile and painting job.  I have my paint clothes on already and ready to
ROLL!!
It's a wonderful internet connection here and I was actually able to upload all of the photos in a few minutes time!!!

Thankful for small things this morning and it's always good to be with family.

Guard your heart.
