Here's our winter home. We plan to stay here until March.
We are up pretty close to our neighbors carport. They have a "park model" home which are 400 sq ft. Many snow birds buy these when they have a home somewhere else just to live in for the winter. The owners of this one aren't ever here and we haven't met them, yet. There's a rose bush and and interesting fern plant with one flower.

The wall around the pool |
One of the main streets. It's all stone and it works well until the wind blows hard, like yesterday, and stirs up some dust. |
Across I8 there is a small shopping area with a Microtel hotel. It's called, "Coyote Wash". The water from the town wells comes out with a bit of salt so we all buy drinking water from these osmosis machines around the area. It's .50 for 5 gallons.
This is one of the fields ready for planting. The valley is watered by a canal system from the Colorado River and it's a green belt with all sorts of veggies and alfalfa. |
The main entrance to the park. |
My portable garden. Geraniums from Indiana and the pansies that were eaten by the dear in Colorado have recovered. |
The neighbors rose bush needs some TLC.
There are two laundry areas. This one is covered, but outdoors with a large area to hang out clothes. The other laundry is a building and they even provide irons and boards.
Behind the pool area is the rec hall. Lots of activities go on in there with a church service on Sunday mornings. |
The Park put on a very nice welcoming breakfast this past Sat. There's a big kitchen for doing all of the cooking.
This is our third year coming back to this park and it has become like home. There's a wonderful group of people that is starting to feel like family.
Blessings,
Kathy
