Cloudy With a Change for Friends

Last night while still in MO we took an evening swim in the Parks huge pool.  Craig even dove off the platform and got a complement from one of the kids in the pool.

It rained some during the night and was sprinkling this morning.  The outlook was for more as the day went on, so we headed on down the road towards St. Louis.

It was drizzly and overcast most of the day, but we could see the Arch as we came through St. Louis.

We crossed over the Mississippi.  Wasn't it just last year, or the year before when it was so low that barges couldn't navigate?  I don't believe they will have any problems like that this year.

It isn't often that we go back to a campground we have stayed in, but today we did just that and just went 143 miles down the road to Timber Trails RV Park in Mulberry Grove, IL.

The view out our front window.

We are just 1/2 an hour north of Lake Carlyle.  The Lake is overflowing it's banks, too.

We have been here before to see my High School Friend, Betty.
We called and drove down to have dinner with her.  It's always good to renew friendships.  Betty and I played sports together before it was popular for women to do so.
We would have stayed longer, but Betty didn't invite us.
HA HA, that's a joke for Betty.

We had such a nice visit over Walleye Sandwiches.
Betty owns cottages and cabins on the lake in Keyesport, IL.

Tomorrow, we will probably go a few more miles down the road.  We'll see in the morning.

Blessings,
Kathy
