Blog #394 Second Travel Day MO to KS

Our second day on the road on Oct. 15th started out driving back out the 1.5 mile gravel road.  After a night of rain, it wasn't quite as dusty.  We slept well and were ready to move on down the road.

It was a very clear and even cool day.  We actually ran the heater in the Motorhome for most of the way.
Missouri is a pretty state and we enjoyed the ride.
We have been listening to a book on CD, so it helps to pass the time as we travel.

I couldn't help singing one of my dad's favorite songs to dance to, "Going to Kansas City", as we drove thru.

Out of Missouri and into Kansas

There aren't many RV Parks on route 70, so we had called ahead and reserved a spot at Triple J RV Park.  As we pulled in, we realized that we had stopped here one other time somewhere during our cross country travels.  They had a reindeer here last year.

It's a nice park with level ground.  It was beautiful outside, so we decided to do some clean up on the Tail and Whale.  Most parks don't want you to use their water to spray with a hose, so we just used wet rags out of a bucket.  Craig cleaned all the bugs off the front windshield.  The park threw in cable TV, so we ate meatloaf and watched the plight of the Denver Broncos.

Days end came with a clear night and we woke up to 52 degrees INSIDE!  Ha.  We ran the furnace to take off the chill. .

Sunrise is just below the horizon.  Time to hit the road.

Blessings,
Kathy
