What a great trip we have had!  We have been traveling and visiting since we left Arizona on March 11th.
It's now April 2nd.
We pulled out of a Park near Dickson, TN, on Thurs. the 30th and drove down the road to Georgetown, KY, to visit with old friends.  Maybe I should say, "long time" friends!

We skirted the north side of Nashville and crossed into Kentucky.

We took a photo of this amazing castle, but we don't know a thing about it.

Donna has been a life-long friend.  Her parents and my parents were great friends and we all used to vacation together.  Donna also graduation from High School with Craig and my older brother, Bob.  The RV stayed parked at the curb in front of their home where we enjoyed fellowship, food and laughter. Kurt has done some amazing things with their home and we could have spent a month getting caught up on life and family.

Friday found us back on the road just going 50 miles up to Oak Creek RV Park in Verona, KY.  We are here to see the Creation Museum that is to the north of us.
It's a wonderfully done walk through the history of the Creation of the world and the Bible.

There are many life-like displays of Biblical accounts.

He has risen and He is not here!

Al, we took these pictures of the amazing rock collection just for you.  You would have loved it!

Today, we will be going to the Ark Encounter.  They have built a full-sized replica of Noah's Ark and they tell us it will take five hours to tour the three levels that are open.

Replica of the Ark

Craig used to have a butterfly collection as a child, so this was an amazing display to see.

Below is a small room that contains a chart of the History of Mankind.  So well done!

It has been rainy and cool here, but we were still able to visit the outside grounds and enjoy the gardens and petting zoo.

We went to a presentation that Ken Ham (the CEO of the Creation Project) put on.  I was glad to see the room filled and there were many young people since it's spring break here in KY.  He walked through a very clear and fact based look at the Biblical Account of the world as opposed to the Godless evolution account. He has a Facebook page, if you are interested.

Today at noon, the Ark Encounter opens and we will be spending the day there.  On Monday, we drive up to our final destination for this trip and our home town in Crown Point, Indiana.  We are looking forward to spending time with our two sons and their families and seeing many of our (life-long) friends.

Blessings,
Kathy
