Winslow, AZ to Albuquerque, NM

We hit the road early again this morning to beat the heat.  It was actually a very pleasant drive down I 40 from Winslow, AZ to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
As we were going to bed Tues night, we realized the Refrigerator has been running on LP (propane) and not AC as it should when plugged into power.  It was something we missed when we had the electrical surge at Duck Creek RV Park.  As long as the Propane part was working, we realized there wasn't anything we could do about it until we got to Albuquerque.  It runs on LP when going down the road.
We started out with good weather with a little haze.  We felt kissed by the sun as it came up over the hills.

It was in the 70's and very pleasant driving.  As you drive through miles of desert, it's amazing that you come upon a sign that reads, "Petrified Forest".  I guess the trees just couldn't stand it out here.  We passed through miles of what looks like volcanic ash, too.

We changed drivers at a rest area and there was an Indian Trading Post.  As we pulled out we saw that they had these fake animals to catch your eye.  I did see a real red fox run across the road in front of me today or was that yesterday?

As you approach The New Mexico Border, the terrain begins to change from flat lands to hills and mountains.

The mountains on the right are called, "Window Rock".

We stopped for some help at Camping World.  My opinion of them didn't go up, at all.  They had no time to help us.  Craig researched our frig issues online and purchased a glass fuse.  We took the outside part of the frig apart and replaced the fuse. I also called a friend and asked for prayer.  This was not an easy fix.  We now have the electrical portion working, but now the LP doesn't light on it's own.  So, we called a mobile guy who is helping to find some parts for us.  We could use a day of no travel, so hopefully, he will come up with a fix for this issue.  All prayers are greatly appreciated.

Charlie is one of the reasons that we come to Albuquerque.  The last time we were here in April, Charlie was in the Hospital and sedated because his kidneys had stopped working.  He looks much better now as the Lord has worked some miracles in his body.  We hope to see his wife, Janis, tomorrow.  She is living in a Dementia Unit.  It was good to break bread with Charlie and catch up on what has been going on.

So, it's time to catch up on some sleep.  We changed time from Pacific to Mountain today, too.  Thanks for the prayers.  We know that things will all come together.  Thankfully, we don't need to be anywhere until July 23rd.  We should have the frig fixed and catch up on sleep by then, ya think?

Blessings,
Kathy
