The Wild Air Farm

We are still parked at our friends, the Taylors.  Today they took us to see a huge farm near Zionsville where Ron has done a lot of escalating work for the owners.  It's a gorgeous horse farm and it now has 8 ponds.  It has to be the most beautiful piece of land I have ever seen.

Craig, Ron and Carolyn

Ron's last project was lining the stream with Rick Rack along the bank.

They have brought in this huge cannon and are mounting it on a platform.

Besides horse events they also host wedding parties.  It was wonderful to see it all!!!

Kathy

Rain Rain

We have been enjoying our time at Ron and Carolyn's in North Salem, Indiana.  It's SO green here in August that it looks more like June!  We had a storm go through here late this afternoon.

We attended an Amish Auction where large quantities of flowers, fruits and vegetables were purchased by merchants.

The rain had stopped and the sun was setting.

We aren't sure how long we will stay here or where we will go from here, so we are just enjoying the time.

Ron's office for his excavating business.

Ron and Carolyn's beautiful log home is located in the midst of the trees across route 36 from where we are parked.

We will be attending this church in the morning.

Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me!!!

Fellowship with Friends!!

We are having so much fun seeing old friends.  Not that any of them are "old", you see, but just that we have known them for a long, long time.
We had such a great night of fellowship on Friday with people that we have known through church.  I only got pictures of a few people because we were having so much fun just catching up.

I had a three hour lunch with a woman I went to High School with last week and then we got invited to the church where they attend in Demotte.  Craig graduated with her husband.

 Craig, Kathy, Peggy and Gary

We were invited to church and then to friends home for breakfast.  We hadn't seen them for about 24 years.
Marvin and Ann have a lovely home and beautiful gardens all around their property.

We left Indiana in 1993 to move to Colorado so we hadn't seen this group since then.  What a fun gathering!!

Patty, Craig, Tom, Marvin, Brian, Roy, Diane, Andrea and Ann.

Great guys!  Roy, Craig, Tom and Brian.

Marvin joined Roy, Craig, Tom and Brian.

Diane, Ann, Andrea, Kathy and Patty

We try to get out for a walk around the Ministry Center and there are some very pretty flowers.

We had lunch with Jim and Marie and found that Jim needs to go back to the VA on Friday before he will know what to do for his health issues.  Please pray that they will have clear direction.

Marie and Jim with Patti to the right.

We had dinner last night with Bob and Denise.  These are our KOOL friends, dude.

They just picked up this pop up to pull behind their Motorcycle.

We took some time this morning to do some deep cleaning in the RV.  We borrowed Jeff's rug shampooer.  It was nearly larger than the rug, but here's the nice and clean carpet.

We had a wonderful dinner out tonight with old classmates from Crown Point High School.

Judy, John, Craig, Kathy, Diane and Steve
How much fun it is to see so many good friends.  Thanks to you all for treating us so well and staying in touch!!!
Thursday we will head down the road to North Salem, Indiana for a few days and then, we aren't sure of our direction.
Our cruise to Florida has been cancelled, so we don't know if we will be going down there in Sept.

Love you all,
Kathy

Flying, Fixes and Fishing

Mom was here with us in Indiana for two weeks, but she is now back in Las Vegas.  We took her to the airport on Wed and good friends met her in Las Vegas and got her home safely and made sure things were working in her home.  She enjoyed the time with family, but was cold almost the whole time she was in Indiana.

Jeff and Craig fixed a broken electrical outlet at my Aunt Rosie's.  There's not much worse than an outside plug that isn't usable.

We also traded out an old counsel TV set for the new Flat screen and stand for my aunt.

This Rose of Sharon caught my eye on one of our morning walks around the Conference grounds

We had a great night of reunion and fellowship with old friends of ours from around the area that we hadn't seen for a while.  We met at the Conference grounds on Cedar Lake and really enjoyed the time of catching up.

Here's one of our favorite couples that came.  Please be praying for Jim and Marie.  Marie is recovering from a broken leg and Jim is facing some serious health issues.  We know the Lord is holding both of them close.

We got a little fishing in this morning and it was nearly a perfect time to be out early. It was also nice that we caught a few bass.

We noticed that it was completely dark by 8:30 tonight.  Not sure we are ready to head in to shorter days, but there's not much we can do to stop that.

Please pray for a friend, Jayme who lost her sweet sister today.

Blessings,
Kathy

Bye Jan and Haley!!!!

We are beginning to recover from the busy week or so of family gatherings and reunions here in Indiana and I haven't been very good about writing a blog.  Here's picture of my Mom with my family members.

This is our eight Grandchildren

In order of age: Haley, Kristen, Carter, Kyra, Kara, Collin, Ty and Cooper.
Our oldest son, Todd with his daughter, Haley.

Second son, Jeff and his wife, Rachel and their kids, Kristen, Kara and Ty.

Our daughter, Tana and her husband, Barry and their children; Carter, Kyra, Collin and Cooper.

It's always fun to say, "OK, be goofy".  Kristen fell on the ground just after this picture.

There's been drama and family fun and people coming and going from the airport. Tana's family drove back to Colorado last Tues.
Today my cousin, Jan, left to go back to Arizona.  This is Jan with her mom (my Aunt Rosie).

This is my aunt's beautiful garden that her girls planted for her.

Our oldest grand child, Haley, also headed back to CA.  We so enjoyed seeing her and getting to spend some time with her.  She is a very sweet girl.  I took Mom by Todd's place today to say goodbye.

Haley, Todd and Mom

I took Mom to see her niece and great niece this morning, but we rested this afternoon and then were invited over to Jeff and Rachel's for supper and some tree trimming.
This is Jeff up in the tree.  The chain saw wouldn't start so he used a hand saw and a sawzall as Craig and I tied off a rope to help keep the limbs from falling on the pool or on Jeff.

I didn't take a picture of the final product because it was getting dark.

It's amazing how green things are here in Indiana for August.  Normally they have had some 100 degree days and the yards are burned pretty badly.  It's been in the 80's and really very pleasant with only a few high humidity days.
We will be here until Aug 21st. So the rest of our time we hope to visit with old friends.

Blessings,
Kathy
