This is the home we had built in 1997. We had rented it out for 6 years while we lived and worked in Texas for a Software Company.
We moved back into it when we lost our renter this past Aug. 2012. It was in good shape, but needed a total repainting inside and new carpet. We worked nearly a month getting it all spiffed up and moved back into.
We sat down, so content and declared... "This is where we will stay!" BUT, it's not to be so.
Today, we put down some money to hold this home on 6 wheels. 32'... hmmmm. We have a bit of an idea of where to go and what to do, but we also know that man plans his ways, but God directs his steps. That would certainly be our desire. We have walked with the Lord for nearly 37 years and He has been with us through the waters and through the flames and we have no doubt that He will be with us through the 32', but still our human brains run around in my own skull trying to understand the depths of what we be fixin' ta do.
It's a beauty that the Lord put on Craig's list just for us. We had a price range and did a search and this Jayco was the first one that we saw and liked. We kept searching, but just felt really good about this one. We drove to Arvada to meet the owner, Gary. Found that he, too, is a follower of our Risen Savior. A great guy that called us Mam and Sir and could tell we were in over our heads and he so encouraged us and walked with us through our many questions and concerns. My good friend Jayme G would be just the one to talk to us about entering the RV world, but alas, she is busy with her Coop. So, we now have furniture and household belongings to sell once again. craigslist.com was made for us and times like these!! Isn't it ironic that my hubby's name is Craig?
Here's a view of the inside on this day that we signed papers. We hope to pick it up in a couple of weeks so we can begin to use those nooks and crannies to stuff our stuff into.
We'll surely find an appropriate name for this vehicle. Maybe something like, "Whale" since we feel a bit like Jonah, only we know that the Whale will spit us out exactly where the Lord wants us, even if it's not where we were really planning to go.
So, now I have done did it. My first blog at age 62.
